It's a shame but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but I had hoped after my writing exploits during November, that I would be able to push on in December and finish the first draft of book 4 in the Chronicles of Arkadia series, but it wasn't to be. In fact I'm not sure that I've written a single word towards it yet as I've been really busy doing other stuff. Hopefully this week I'll be able to put that to rights.
Just got the 3 stories waiting for writing competitions to announce their winners now and desperate for at least one of them to come up trumps. One competition has apparently got a short list of 3 which they're currently considering (I don't know whether my story is on this or not) and they plan on announcing later this week and another one will start announcing its 5th place on Thursday, 4th on Friday and so on up to Christmas Eve. Fingers crossed for both of these. The third competition, which is a biggie, at least in terms of prize money, doesn't announce until March I believe.
Away from writing, went and saw The Hobbit The battle of five armies and was not disappointed. Really hope the Tolkien estate give Peter Jackson permission to make more films because the guy's a magician.
Will post again later in the week with hopefully some good competition news.
